I absolutely love the dynamics of family photo sessions. I love capturing the dynamic between people with such a strong bond. I love how this bond peaks through, in how the family sits together, walks together but most of all, I love how this bond peaks through in the in the moments in between poses, after a quick comment, or a joke, or a tease. So I always try to keep my eyes peeled, and if I am lucky enough to capture a few of these, then I go home a happy photographer :).
I often hear from my clients that they want to have a professional photo shoot because their mobile phone pictures never turn out well, or that they never get to be all together in the same photo since someone has to tak e the shot on the phone, or that their kids are growing up very quickly and they want to have more photos to immortalise the moment. But in this case, the story that Heather shared was so powerful it almost left me speechless. She said she had a health issue that she overcome and it made her realise how important it is to enjoy every moment, make memories and TAKE PICTURES! After that tug to my heart, I started shooting this beautiful session.
We started in the retiro Park, at the Monument to Alfonso XII (Monumento a Alfonso XII), which is the place I shoot most at in the Retiro Park, and then continues to the Alcalá Gate (Puerta de Alcalá), Town Hall or Communications Palace (Ayuntamiento / Palacio de Comunicaciones) and ended on Gran Vía.
Definitely one of the most fun family sessions I had this summer!
One of the reasons why I love autumn is the light. Sunset light in autumn is different than other seasons. It’s strong and warm and almost heavy. And when it shines through those rusty leaves – oh, man!
The light that day really didn’t disappoint!
What do you think?…
It was about time for a website update! I have been working on this behind the scenes for quite a while now and so happy that all the hours I put in have paid off because I just love the result!
As always, I love to hear what you think, so if there’s something you’d like to see on my website or my blog, don’t hesitate to let me know 💌!
As with any new start, a good introduction is required. So let me introduce myself and fill you in on all the different…
